research 1- Jonathan Knowels

Jonathan Knowles is a London based photographer specializing in Advertising still life, people and even liquids. He has won an award for his work and bellow are some of his in my opinion most eye catching work:

I fount his work on the following page: http://jknowles.co.uk

When i look at this image i get slightly confused, at first i interpreted it to link in with bipolar-the idea of two sides to one person, but then i look closer and i see text at the bottom of the poster and its a money off voucher,in my opinion if the text was not there i would still believe it was linked with bipolar.

Wow i love the detail within the frame, the colours jump out instantly and i also like the grain on the face but then the sharpness of the lips,i also like the positioning of the frame as in my opinion if it was a full shot of the face then detail would  have been lost.

I am instantly atracted to the colours used wihtin the image, but when i look at the  image i get mixed feelings as i can clearly see it is a female painting but you normaly assosicate DIY witih males so its good but a bit strange that she is on a ladder in high heals too.

Introduction

Introduction:

For this assignment I have six weeks to produce three A3 Advertising posters, we can base the images around three of the following categories: Beauty, Clothing, Food, Health and Well-beingJewelry, Sport, Technology, Transport. I have chosen to look at Sport, Technology and Transport.

I have chosen to look at the three categories above as they relate closely to whom I know or what my interests are. I have a few ideas already of what I would like to produce but my ideas need expanding further and might change for the better relating to my research.
